RELIEF VETERINARIANS-Try us out!   ***IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A FULL OR PART TIME PERMANENT POSITION, PLEASE CONTACT US DIRECTLY.  DO NOT CONTACT US THROUGH A RELIEF SERVICE.  We cannot give you any direct relief shifts or hire you for at least a year if you take a shift with us through a relief service.***

Due to the exuberant fees the relief services charge, it is cost prohibitive to direct hire through these services.  We cannot hire you for an entire year after you accept a shift through a relief service.  You will also likely get paid more if you schedule relief shifts directly through TLC versus using a relief service.  We negotiate!

We have both general practice and surgical relief shifts at all 4 of our locations.

I have worked for TLC for 4 years, and will be an employee for as long as they have me! I have never known an employer (boss) like Deana. She has always been there for her employees, and treated them very well!! I love the people I work with, and love being a Technician here. I knew when I got this job that this is the place I want to stay!

I love tlc. I love how we are focused on pet health and the work atmospheres among employees is among any other vet clinic I ever worked for. Everyone works as a team and is willing to jump in and help each other out at anytime. We have the best surgery team at spring. They gave me an opportunity after being out of the vet field for 8 years but my work team really helped me and I caught on fast. Tlc is amazing I love my job.

Brittanie, Vet Technician

I have been working at Texas Litter Control as a Licensed Veterinary Technician for 3 years now. When I had first started my career at TLC, I was still a baby tech at the time. I had just recently graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Lone Star in 2020 and had only worked at one other vet clinic prior to being hired at TLC in 2023. The first veterinary clinic I worked for shortly after graduation was a general practice that was owned by a large corporation. I had acquired a lot of skills and knowledge there however, I started to become very burnt out and was developing compassion fatigue, so I knew I needed a change of pace. That's when I applied at TLC. I had ZERO experience with HVHQSN so I had no idea if I was going to like it or if it was even for me but I am so grateful that I applied because it has been one of the best decisions I have made in my career. Not only has working at TLC been better for my emotional wellbeing, its also been very rewarding to work here as well. When I had worked at my previous employer, I would go over estimates with clients daily for basic things such as wellness appointments for vaccines, heartworm testing and prevention or spay/neuter procedures and some of these estimates would cost hundreds to thousands of dollars. I would see time and time again pet parents who want to do the necessary care for their pets wellbeing but simply couldn't afford to. Working for TLC, I feel like I'm actually able to make a difference in the community due to the low cost, high quality services that we offer. For these reasons, I can honestly say I love my job and I love what I do.

Working at Texas Litter Control has truly changed my life in the best way. Coming into this role, I was hoping to find something stable and meaningful, and I ended up finding so much more than that. This job has given me a real sense of purpose. Every day, I get to be part of something that actually makes a difference, whether it’s helping prevent overpopulation, educating owners, or caring for animals that might not otherwise have access to services. The support here is something I don’t take for granted. I feel valued in my role, encouraged to grow, and trusted in what I do. That kind of environment makes a huge difference, especially in a field that can be emotionally demanding. It makes it easier to show up and give my best every day. The people I work with are another huge part of why I love being here. Everyone truly cares, not just about the animals, but about each other. There’s a sense of teamwork and understanding that makes even the hardest days manageable. The benefits are also incredible and something that sets Texas Litter Control apart. Knowing that I have access to strong medical coverage, support for continuing education, and even resources that help me grow within the veterinary field gives me a sense of stability and security that I’ve never had before. I’m really grateful to be part of this team. This job has given me direction, confidence, and a career I’m proud of. It’s more than just a job to me, it’s something I care deeply about and feel lucky to be a part of.
