To schedule read the following and select the clinic you wish to use.

• TLC does not provide services to aggressive dogs.
• Pets must be less than 6 years of age.
• Kittens must weigh 3 pounds and be at least 12 weeks of age.  Puppies must weigh 6 pounds and be at least 12 weeks of age. For small dogs that will not get over 6lbs, they need to be 6 months old. 
• We do not perform surgeries on dogs weighing over 115 pounds at any location and on dogs weighing over 100 pounds at our Tomball location.
• Texas Litter Control does not perform surgery on high risk animals.  This includes pets who are pregnant (with the exception of feral cats), extremely under or over weight, pets with mange/skin infections, upper respiratory illness, high heartworm positive/heartworm disease, cleft palate, previous abdominal surgery such as c-section or in heat.. Dogs that have already gone into heat must wait a minimum of 30 days after the last day of active bleeding to be eligible for surgery.

 If you book your pet online and you are declined for surgery due to one of these restrictions, you will be charged a $40 vet exam fee. 

Surgery appointments are staggered to arrive between 7am and 7:45am.  TLC performs between 25 to 40 sterilization surgeries per day.  YOU WILL BE WAITING IN LINE.  We check everyone in on a first come first serve basis.  You must be in line no later than 8am.

Wellness customers, please arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment.  If you are more than 5 minutes late for your appointment, you will be treated as a walk-in.  The walk-in wait time on busy days can be up to 4 hours.  We strongly advise to book an appointment.  We do not take walk-ins on Saturdays and we stop taking walk-ins 2 hours prior to closing on all other days. There is an extra fee for walk ins.

SURGERY PATIENTS - All pets over 3 months old are required by the State of Texas to be current on rabies.  If your pet is not current on rabies, you will be required to vaccinate your pet at the time of surgery.  You must bring the rabies CERTIFICATE at check-in.  Rabies tags are not valid proof of rabies and will not be accepted.  

We do not require pets to be current on other core vaccines at the time of surgery, but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.  Please understand if your pet is not current on core vaccines, you run the risk of your pet getting sick.  It can take up to 2 weeks for vaccines to be effective.  TLC will not be responsible for illnesses or fleas contracted due to your pet not being vaccinated or flea treated.  Please remember, your pet will be in close proximity to 25-40 animals.  Kennels are thoroughly cleaned daily, but we cannot control airborne contagions.

We have room for 10 community cats per day.  You must select COMMUNITY CAT/FERAL CAT SPAY/NEUTER or you will be charged full price.  If the schedule is full, it's full.

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***  Our new system requires a unique name for every animal who comes in.  Please name your feral a unique name when you book online.  A STRICT LIMIT OF 2 COMMUNITY CATS PER DAY IS STRICTLY ENFORCED.

PLAN AHEAD!  We have limited space.  If you are planning on trapping a cat, book an appointment prior to trapping.  We understand that sometimes you can't catch the cat.  Select Community/Feral Cat Spay/Neuter when booking your appointment.  If the date you are trying to choose is not available it means we have no open appointments.
